3 events to visit with kids in London this summer

Bread Street KitchenFamily brunch with kids pizza masterclass
Gordon Ramsay is launching a new kids’ eat free menu designed by his daughter, young chef Tilly Ramsay, and in connection with the launch there’s a summer programme of creative cooking experiences, including ‘Pick Your Own’ pizza masterclasses at the newly installed Allotment at Bread Street Kitchen near St Paul’s Cathedral. Whilst the grown ups enjoy classic brunch dishes with a glass of champagne, the children will pick fresh pizza toppings from the garden and learn about produce before going downstairs to make pizzas with the chefs. The event will run on Saturday 12 August and 26 August from noon to 3pm, and it is £70 for brunch for two adults and kids pizza making class followed by dessert for two children aged three to twelve.

Family night at Lord’s Cricket Ground
Lord’s Cricket Ground is hosting a Family Night on Thursday 3 August for the Middlesex v Hampshire NatWest T20 Blast fixture. On the night, there will be entertainment both on and off the pitch and activities for kids of all ages. Pinky’s Pavilion will be taking over the Nursery Ground, allowing kids to get involved with Middlesex’s fast and fun format B20 cricket (20 ball innings), a bowling speed gun, funfair games and much more. There will also be the chance to meet the players, get autographs, and take photos with both the NatWest T20 Blast and Specsavers County Championship trophies. In addition, there will be a NatWest virtual reality unit, cricket taster sessions in the MCC Academy, balloon modellers and face painters. Tickets are £20 for adults and £5 for under 16s.

Asian Wellness and Vegan Festival in Richmond
On Saturday 29 July the Asian Wellness and Vegan Festival will take place in Richmond at the Richmond Adult Community College. The not-for-profit event, which is free to attend for children, will feature a special children’s yoga class and there will be all-day free yoga, meditation, and Tai Chi sessions. Visitors can also expect Bollywood dancing, a Japanese culture workshop, a Henna workshop and more than 50 stalls. All profits from the event will go to three charities and standard tickets are £5 per adult.
