4 things to do with kids in London this weekend

Trotters 25th Birthday Party at Duke of York Square
The Trotters 25th Birthday Party is taking place at Duke of York Square in Chelsea on Saturday 26 September from 11am-5pm. There will be a number of games and activities, including a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, entertainers and storytelling. The only event that requires pre-registration is the reading sessions with children’s authors Emma Chichester Clark and Rob Biddulph.

John Parnham’s Children’s Fun Fair at Eel Brook Common
We loved the autumn fun fair on Eel Brook Common in Fulham last year, and three-year-old Baby Girl was thrilled to see the fair rides being back up this week. The John Parnham children’s fun fair at Eel Brook Common opens at 2pm today and on weekdays next week, and on weekends it opens at 11am until it closes on Sunday 4 October.

London Transport Museum Depot Open Weekend
The London Transport Museum’s Depot in Acton is open to visitors twice a year, usually one weekend in September and one weekend in March. It is open this weekend from 11am to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday, and it seems like the ideal place to go with young children who love trains and buses. On Saturday there’s a free shuttle from the Acton Depot to the Siemens Heathrow Express Train Depot, and the Paddington bear will be making regular appearances at the Siemens Heathrow Express Train Depot, where visitors can also see a train up on jacks ready for maintenance, sit in a driver’s train cab and more. Children and young people aged 17 and under go free, and adult tickets are £10.

Catwalk Baby Pop Up ShopCatwalk Baby Pop-Up Shop in Papouelli Parsons Green
You might have spotted the beautiful baby window display in Papouelli in Parsons Green recently. Personalised baby gift company Catwalk Baby, which was founded by two Fulham mums in 2011, has a pop-up shop in the children’s shoe shop. This weekend will be their last weekend in Papouelli, and it’s the perfect place to buy gorgeous, personalised baby gifts or bring your baby for a special treat. The team can even personalise baby comforters, towels, robes, wash bags and more in 15 minutes while you’re waiting – or stop by the fun fair!
