3 top baby classes to book for the new term

Monkey Music
The popular baby music programme Monkey Music offers classes across London, including in Chelsea, South Kensington, Belgravia and Pimlico. The summer term starts on Monday, and little ones can start as early as three months. New babies can take a free trial to experience the fun and themed Monkey Music classes, which are different every week and entertaining for babies, who love the beautiful puppets, hand-crafted props, specialist percussion, dance, movement and magical bubbles. There’s lots of fun when summertime arrives in class too, finding buckets and spades and swimming under huge, wonderful sea-themed parachutes. Classes are divided by age and offer innovative curriculums for each stage of your little one’s development

JudoGym at The Budokwai
From the age of six months, little ones can take their first classes at martial arts club The Budokwai in Chelsea. I was recommended these classes already when I was pregnant with Big Girl, and I have a number of friends who rave about The Budokwai classes for babies and toddlers. The schedule has not been convenient for me, but for mums who want to do a physical class in addition to a music class, I think it’s worth checking this one out. Friends have been impressed with the instructors, and like that the classes take place in a safe and fully-padded area.

Gymboree
When Big Girl’s friends turned two she was invited to several Gymboree birthday parties, as the little ones were fans of these classes taking place in colourful custom-built soft play areas. At the parties, I liked that the instructors were super energetic, and the children loved climbing in the padded area, sliding on sheepskin, running around and practising rolls. I can see why several friends take their babies to Gymboree from around six months, and there are, among others, Gymboree venues in South Kensington, Clapham, Putney and Wandsworth.
