5 things to do in Chelsea and Fulham in November

Family Jazz All-Stars featuring Zoe Gilby at Cadogan Hall
As part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, Family Jazz All-Stars will be held at Cadogan Hall on Saturday 12 November at 2pm. The event is a tribute to jazz singers past and present and promises to be an energetic whistle-stop journey through jazz, featuring vocals by Zoe Gilby and a line-up of accomplished jazz musicians. The 60-minute event is recommended for families with children aged 5 and over.

Christmas Lights Switch-On at Duke of York Square
At Duke of York Square, the festive season kicks off from 2pm on Saturday 12 November, and there will be ballet dancers, stilt walkers and festive vintage singers entertaining shoppers. The switch-on takes place at 5pm, and the tradition is that Santa’s special helper – a child – will help Santa turn on the Christmas lights before being the first to visit him in the Grotto. Santa will arrive at the event onboard a sleigh, pulled by real life reindeer and accompanied by elves.

Monkey Music Winter Wonderland Workshops at Cineworld Chelsea
Monkey Music, which hosts weekly baby and toddler music classes, are doing one-off Winter Wonderland Christmas Saturday workshops on 26 November at Cineworld Chelsea. The special Saturday workshops are designed for family members that miss out watching their little ones grow and develop in class during the week, and many working dads and mums or grandparents tend to go to these popular events. Bookings can be made via email or phone.

Christmas Wreath-making at Bluebird
Chelsea’s Bluebird is hosting a Christmas wreath-making workshop led by their resident party and events florist Hannah Martin on 21 November, and I think this sounds brilliant for mums. Tickets are £65 per person, and this includes the materials of the wreath, mulled wine and bubbles.

Women’s Health Evening at Coyne Medical
Private GP clinic Coyne Medical is hosting a women’s health evening in support of Borne Charity on Tuesday 22 November from 7-9pm. Physiotherapist Clare Pacey, who works at Beyond Health, the Portland Hospital and at the Lindo Wing, will be talking about the importance of looking after pelvic floor muscles, while Coyne Medical’s Dr Lucy Hooper will cover hormones after having a baby and psychotherapist Holli Rubin will discuss why how you feel about your body matters. Tickets are £5 per person, and all proceeds go to Borne, the local charity focusing on research to prevent premature birth.
