Baby’s first Christmas calendar

It’s a good thing there’s a face embroidered on Baby Girl’s Christmas calendar. That way there’s at least one thing our three-month old will like about the latest wall decoration in her bedroom, a Maileg calendar pixie filled with presents.

I was warned that Baby Girl wouldn’t be interested in a calendar this year. But I know she likes looking at faces, so there’s definitely one thing she’ll like about it.

And I’m very excited about opening the presents with her every morning. We’ll incorporate the calendar in our morning routine. I just hope she won’t get annoyed when we change the routine after Christmas and she stops receiving a present every day. If she does, it could get expensive for Daddy T.

The little presents in her Christmas calendar are all things I know she’ll love. Most of them are cream-coloured merino sleepsuits, bodies and socks from Bambino Merino, which will keep her warm this winter.

In addition to the soft wool clothing, she’s getting several gift vouchers. Some days she’ll get a voucher for a float and massage at the Baby Spa, and other days she’ll get a voucher for a photo shoot with Santa.

If this calendar doesn’t get her into the Christmas spirit, at least it will get me excited about the festive season.
