Best snacks for babies and toddlers on the go

Organix RaisinsIt would have been lovely to always have fresh organic fruit pieces and little home made snacks in the bag for Baby Girl to enjoy whenever she got hungry, but this is simply not always the reality.

We’re out and about most of the time, and she needs a little snack when she wakes up after her nap. If I’m not in family club Purple Dragon in Chelsea, where she can have a home made smoothie with her favourite ingredients blueberries, banana and yoghurt, I often end up giving her something that doesn’t have to be stored in the fridge – at least not before its opened.

I try to ensure she has some dairy products throughout the day in addition to her milk, and she loves the Ella’s Banana Baby Brekkie or Ella’s Mango Baby Brekkie, which I first started giving her when she had a few months she wasn’t gaining much weight.

I noticed the Banana Baby Brekkie and Mango Baby Brekkie, suitable for children 6 months and over, had more calories than some of the other fruit, vegetable and yoghurt pouches on the market, making them ideal for her at this stage of development.

When she’s finished a yoghurt or smoothie, she moves on to the Organix raisins, suitable for toddlers. And if it had been up to her, she would have had at least five packs of raisins in a day.
