Celebrating National Stationery Week with Smiggle

Smiggle Says Drink Up BottleWhen Big Girl went to bed yesterday she had a large Smiggle water bottle on the shelf in her house bed, and she had a scented pencil case filled with her favourite rubbers on the floor next to her. She was ready to wake up for a new active day celebrating that writing matters.

After starting school last year, Big Girl’s interest in colourful stationery and accessories have rocketed, and that’s why I was excited to celebrate National Stationery Week with Smiggle this week.

Today is the last day of National Stationery Week, which has reminded us of the importance of being able to write by hand and not only use email. I love that we’ve officially reached the stationery-is-so-cool age, and colourful stationery now classify as top birthday presents.

The Australian stationery brand Smiggle opened the doors to its King’s Road shop in December, and it’s  become a great destination to shop for colourful and quirky little gifts.

For National Stationery Week, Big Girl received a double hardtop pencil case  (£15) from Smiggle, which has plenty of storage space, including a zip pocket ideal for the rubber collection and pen slots for favourite markers.

For personalising the school bag, keyrings have also become huge, and Big Girl was practically glowing when she was showing friends the Smiggle says light-up ball key ring (£5) she’d received. It lights up when we roll it around, making it unique and fun for children.

And for staying hydrated and ready to do all the reading and writing water bottles also come everywhere with us. The 660ml BPA-free Smiggle says freeze drink up bottles with a flip top spout  (£10) that the children received are very large but still easy for Big Girl to hold.

Ready to write, run and stay active!
