Review: Fisher-Price Roarin Rainforest Jumperoo for keeping baby safe and happy

Baby boy Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo 2016In the last weeks, I’ve regularly found myself jumping up and down on the kitchen floor. It just feels so right. It’s what Baby Boy is doing too and it keeps us smiling.

He’s received the new Fisher-Price Roarin Rainforest Jumperoo (available from Mothercare for £119.99) to review and from the second time he used it he realised he could bounce up and down in it, reaching for the monkeys overneath. He looks incredibly happy when he gets to bounce–until he starts getting tired or hungry–and at times the 20 minutes recommended use time passes way too quickly.

Baby Boy clearly enjoys bouncing in his colourful rainforest, pressing a button to make funny sounds, listening to music, chewing on a butterfly teether, moving a frog around, batting a hippo and watching his orange and red lights. He can practise batting, balancing and jumping in his baby-friendly rainforest, while I prepare his meals, serve breakfast to Big Girl or wash and sterilise dummies.

The jumperoo features a spinning seat to enable baby to explore all the toys, and the height can easily be adjusted without the use of tools.

Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo 2016Fisher-Price Roarin Rainforest Jumperoo seems robust and is easy to fold, but when it’s out it takes up a decent amount of space on our kitchen floor. Now that seven-month-old Baby Boy is moving, however, he cannot be trusted on a mat on the floor and space is less of a concern to me. I simply need safe and fun places for him to be. I can’t always carry him around, and he needs to be entertained, as the alternative is that he cries as soon as he’s not stuck on my hip.

With themed toys, snack tray, music with volume control and lights, the Fisher-Price Roarin Rainforest Jumperoo is spot on for his age and meets our requirements for keeping baby safe, active and happy. In fact, I’m not quite sure how I survived without an activity station or jumperoo like this when Big Girl was little.

Fisher-Price Roarin Rainforest Jumperoo is suitable from 6 months to around 15 months, and the maximum recommended weight is 11kg and baby’s height can be up to 85cm
