Getting the car ready for Christmas with GoWashMyCar

The other day I did something I know I shouldn’t do. I parked the car under a tree.

The result was that I woke up to a car that was embarrassing to drive around.

I picked up the phone after the school run, calling GoWashMyCar, a mobile car washing company that had previously been in touch. GoWashMyCar offers car washing services in West and South West London and I really needed their help, as I didn’t have time to go to my usual car washing place, and an at-home car washing service sounded pretty perfect midst pre-Christmas stress.

I was offered an opportunity to review and booked a session for exterior and interior cleaning (£28) on GoWashMyCar.com. It was quick and easy to book, and there were a number of extras to choose from, such as full body wax. I chose to pay an extra £8 for a same day service, and at around 5pm in the afternoon a professional car washer turned up at our house.

The friendly professional moved my car next to where his was, so he had access to his equipment, and he seemed very thorough, spending more than an hour on the cleaning. Our car was cleaned with water, but GoWashMyCar also has a green offering – a  fully waterless wash, which takes a bit longer but is known for producing a great finish to the bodywork.

Daddy T and I both agreed that we would want to start booking the same professional regularly. This is, however, not possible with GoWashMyCar, but in my experience it seems like the company has been fantastic at choosing the right partners.

READER OFFER: Readers can enjoy 20% off their first car wash before Christmas with code ‘mummy20’. Prices start from £16 and GoWashMyCar covers South West London from Belgravia to Chiswick and Notting Hill to Richmond.

The car washing picture at the top of the page is not of my car or the review. It was too dark to take pictures when I had my car washed
