Health information to pack when travelling with baby

First aid kit isolatedI think Daddy T would always have described me as being organised when it comes to preparing for holidays. But this time even I feel I’ve taken it to a new level. In fact, I feel so organised it seems like we were living on the edge before.

For the first time ever, I’m travelling with a health information sheet I’ve put together for a holiday in Juan-les-Pins on the French Riviera. If anyone were to see it, it would make me look like an incredibly nervous traveller who’s not left the country before.

The sheet includes a list of phone numbers, such as emergency numbers and numbers to hospitals and English-speaking GPs, and a list of French words in case we were to have to seek medical advice and get by in French.

I asked a French-speaking friend to translate words to help me describe Baby Girl’s age and any potential symptoms, such as fever and rash. It’s not that I’ve had use for anything like this before, but since my travel companion is an eight-month old who has a tendency to pick up a viral infection or two, it seemed like the obvious thing to bring.

I guess I’m done living on the edge.
