Inspiring kids to play golf with family day at ISPS Handa Ladies European Masters

Before Baby Girl was born, Daddy T and I had a few years we tended to drag golf equipment around on holiday. I started to play as a child, but stopped for many years and even though I don’t play at the same level as Daddy T, I found golf to be a brilliant holiday activity in destinations ranging from Bermuda to Phoenix.

Since Baby Girl was born, however, my golf adventures have been restricted to the golf simulator at private members club Purple Dragon in Chelsea, and to get me back on a real golf course, I’ve realised it’s best if Baby Girl and Baby Boy can join too, so it can become a family activity instead.

I’ve been invited to speak on the Ladies Day at this year’s ISPS Handa Ladies European Masters on 2 July, and I’ve been really impressed with the line-up of family activities at this important golfing event, which is held near Central London, at the Buckinghamshire Golf Course.

It seems like the ideal event for families wanting to inspire children to play golf and let them try golf in a fun environment. Throughout the tournament (2-5 July), there will be a PING Swing Zone where visitors can enjoy free golf lessons with PGA professionals; a Golf Zone with fun ways to try out golf; a tented village with shopping opportunities; and an artisan market.

In the Golf Zone, there will be everything from mini-golf to giant clubs and targets, as well as a Golfzilla children can try feeding by chipping golf balls into.

With a fun-filled golf programme, face painting and kids activities,  ISPS Handa Ladies European Masters is set to be the family golf event of the summer!
