Playball
Multi-sports programme Playball is running holiday camps at Latchmere Leisure Centre in Battersea for half-term, and when I checked yesterday there were still places available for three of the days. Each Playball holiday camp starts at 10am in the morning and finishes at 1pm and the sessions are aimed at children aged 3 to 9 and cost £30 per child.

There are lively and interactive creative writing workshops for children aged six to 12 years every day from 10am to 1.30pm. For children preparing for exams, there are also 7+, 8+, 11+ comprehension and composition workshops with up to six children per group and covering a new comprehension and composition each day, guiding the children through exam techniques. There are also 11+ discursive writing workshops to help children understand how to answer these questions in an exam paper, and 11+ English booster- grammar and vocabulary workshops and 11+ interview skills and practise sessions. In addition, Yellowbird Education has joined up with Magic Link to bring their special cursive handwriting course to Fulham for children aged six to 12 years from 24 to 28 October from 1.30pm to 4pm.

Cuckoo Hibou Cafe

Cuckoo Hibou
Boutique, cafe and kids workshop venue Cuckoo Hibou in Parsons Green is running Halloween Cuckoo Morning Club every weekday from 9.30am to noon from Monday 24 October to Friday 28 October for children aged two and a half years to six years. There will be ballet, cooking, music and arts and crafts at the multi-activity drop-off club, which is £160 for a week or £35 per morning.

Mini Engineers
For LEGO holiday camps, check out Mini Engineers, which is hosting Viking-themed two-day camps for children aged five to eleven in Chelsea, Wimbledon and St John’s Wood this half-term. The two three-hour long sessions cost £96 per child in Chelsea. Mini Engineers are also hosting Halloween-themed camps for children aged eight to twelve.

First Hand Experiences
I heard about First Hand Experiences from another Fulham mum, and I picked up a leaflet by South Park again this week, reading about the outdoorsy programme they have for children aged 4 to 16. First Hand Experiences has day camps in Fulham over half-term, focusing on nature, and including a trip to a Pick Your Own farm on the Tuesday. The agenda for the week is listed on the website, and for each day children are split in small groups. The drop-off is from 8.30-9am and pick up is at 4.30pm. The day rate is £65 per child (£55 sibling).

Henry Lamb Tennis
Tennis school Henry Lamb Tennis is hosting holiday camps at Kensington Prep School in Fulham, Newton Prep in Battersea and Putney High in Putney from 17 to 28 October. At Putney High School, there are some full-day sessions from 10am to 4pm for £66 per day for children aged 8 and over, and at Kensington Prep School there are sessions for children aged five to eight from 9am to 1pm (£48 per session) and from 2pm to 4.30pm (£30 per session) from Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 October.

Teddy Tennis
One of the very first holiday camps I took my daughter to was a Teddy Tennis camp, as they even have tennis practice for two-year-olds. For half-term, there’s a Teddy Tennis holiday camp in Wimbledon Park, and there are numerous age-specific sessions for children aged two and a half to six in Holland Park.

Little House of Science
Children’s science class provider Little House of Science is hosting holiday workshops for children aged four to nine in Chelsea, South Kensington and Swiss Cottage between Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27 October. The two-hour sessions titled ‘Who Was Charles Darwin and the Secret of DNA’ are £45 per child.

Football Park Outdoor Sports

The Little Foxes Club
Children’s sports coaching company The Little Foxes Club is hosting half-term camps from 17 to 28 October. The sessions can be booked separately or on a weekly basis, and on Brook Green, for example, there are tennis classes for children between three and seven years of age and in Holland Park there are football, rugby and multi-sports classes for children aged 18 months and over. The sessions for the youngest are one-hour long and cost £10 per session when booked separately, while the older children can do two-hour long sessions.

Perform
Perform, which offers drama and dance classes, is hosting a three-day holiday camp for children aged four to seven from Monday 24 to Wednesday 26 October in Kensington, Clapham and Putney. The theme is Aladdin, and the five-hour sessions will include drama, dance and singing. There’s also a performance for family and friends on the final day. The three-day course is £225 per child.
