3 ways to recycle toys and kids clothes in London

Charity shops
After I’ve finished using products I receive to review, I gift them to someone who needs them or donate them to a charity shop, and a great thing about living in London is easy access to charity shops supporting a wide variety of good causes. Fara Kids and Save the Children shops, for example, tend to have large selections of baby and children’s clothes and accessories. Donations can be dropped off in-store, and if an item is damaged, charity shops may work with other recycling companies that they can pass it on to.

NCT Nearly New Sales
Earlier this year Daddy T and I were taking turns helping customers and feeding or bouncing one-year-old Baby Boy up and down. We had taken a table at an NCT Nearly New Sale, and the three of us were in charge of our morning de-cluttering exercise. We sold everything from Moses basket to nursing wear to the many soon-to-be parents and new parents attending the event. We paid £30 for a table at the 2-hour long sale, and we had way too much stuff, so we didn’t get a chance to put everything out. It was a bit manic, but brilliant fun and lots of lovely customers to chat to!

Facebook groups
There are many local London parents Facebook groups, and I know a number of mums who use Facebook for selling or giving away baby and kids accessories and toys. I’ve also tried it myself in recent months, and I’ve found a closed Facebook group a great way to connect with people who live nearby and can collect items within days–or sometimes hours.
