Review: Fuzzy Felt Paw Patrol for inspiring imagination with a compact play set

When I started packing today I tried not to bring too many toys, but there was one toy I thought would be perfect for potentially sitting inside for long hours in the rain. I’m preparing for a Scandinavian summer with mixed weather and to keep Big Girl entertained I wanted to bring the new Fuzzy Felt Paw Patrol set from John Adams, which we received to review.

Fuzzy Felt is a classic British toy that has been used for entertaining little ones for generations, but I was new to the concept and first expected it to be an art kit since it includes lots of felt pieces.

The idea, however, is that children can use the more than 70 felt pieces to create pictures on a felt board again and again. They can make different stories every time, using their favourite Paw Patrol characters and coming up with their own rescue mission stories as they put them together. After opening the set, I was surprised at how long Big Girl sat playing with the pieces, talking out loud as she was making up her own story.

The set is flat and lightweight when removing the felt board from the box, which makes it compact and ideal for travelling, and I think children who enjoy imaginative play and coming up with their own stories will like Fuzzy Felt.

It can also be used for practising counting, matching or recognising colours, which makes it even more versatile.

Great when space-saving toys are needed for a long summer holiday!

Fuzzy Felt Paw Patrol (RRP £10.99) includes over 70 assorted felt shapes and a felt play board, and the kit is recommended for children aged three to six. Fuzzy Felt is also available in other themed kits, including Disney Princesses and My Little Pony
