Review: Celebrating the return of LEGO Collectable Cards at Sainsbury’s

The other day I found myself explaining the concept of card swapping. It seems to be something that suddenly becomes very important at this time of year, as we’ve entered the LEGO collectible card season in Sainsbury’s.

This time we were excited to receive a LEGO collectible card hamper to celebrate the launch of the popular LEGO collector’s albums. There were more than 100 million packs of LEGO cards collected in six weeks last year, and I’m not surprised if they become a hit again.

The theme this year is Create the World, and the album features lots of interesting facts about incredible inventions and innovators. Although there is so much to learn from reading the album, the main focus for us has been opening packs of cards, and there’s often oohing and aahing when there’s a pink LEGO figure in the picture or something else sparkly.

Daddy T has taken on the important role of entering each card into the album, and I’ve been reminded to always ensure I collect more cards when I go to Sainsbury’s where shoppers these days get a pack with every £10 spent.

Just another reason to go to my favourite Sainsbury’s at Fulham Wharf!

The LEGO collectible cards will be available until 8 October
