5 things I love about living in London with children

I love London–and I love London even more with children. Here are 5 of the many things I love about living in London with children:

1. I don’t have to book a holiday to visit a zoo, and London Zoo and the local Battersea Park Children’s Zoo, which I’m a brand ambassador for, both offer annual membership deals ideal for families with young children who love seeing animals

2. We have access to a fantastic children’s hairdresser–Lina’s Magic Scissors–who’s friendly and lovely to have around and offers an at-home service. She comes prepared with toys, hair accessories for girls to choose from, and a chocolate prize for each customer. Last time I booked she managed to fit us in on the same day. Easy does it.

3. When joining the mummy circle and taking an antenatal course through New Baby Company, signing up for memberships at clubs like Purple Dragon and Harbour Club, it’s super easy to meet new, likeminded people. I also love having places to go where I’m recognised and don’t feel anonymous in a big city. Exactly what I need on some days since I don’t have an office to go to!

4. I’m never too far from a buggy-friendly restaurant or cafe, as almost every single venue is extremely accommodating to mums with buggies and favourite spots like Daylesford, Poilane and No 11 Pimlico Road near Sloane Square; The Breakfast Club in Battersea; Granger & Co in Notting Hill; Hally’s and St Clements in Parsons Green always make us feel welcome with Baby Girl in tow. Even Chelsea restaurants Colbert and Tom’s Kitchen, which are challenging to go to with a sleeping baby in a buggy, are fantastic places to go with children.

5. The healthcare professionals are not only amazing in their fields, but also super friendly, and when necessary I know I can text or phone my consultant, Baby Girl’s paediatrician and our private GP. The level of service is outstanding.
