What to bring when visiting friends

Cushi TushBaby Girl must have thought we were going away again on Sunday. It certainly looked like we had packed for a weekend break. We even had her chair with us. But we weren’t going far. We were only stopping by our neighbours’ house for two hours.

It was almost embarrassing to turn up with all the stuff. But now that Baby Girl is on solids it’s impossible to go out at mealtime without a few extra bits and bobs.

When our friends opened the door, Daddy T and I were standing at the bottom of the stairs in a pile of luggage. We were not only carrying Baby Girl, her pram and the packed changing bag, but we also came with the bright pink Cushi Tush seat, a bottle of cooled boiled water, plastic spoons, a Bibetta bib with long sleeves, a VIA cup with a de-frosted portion of chicken casserole and a fruit puree from Ella’s.

I guess it was a good thing it was the one outing we had planned that Sunday. I’m not sure how many coffee and cupcake events I can prepare for in one day.

Hah, I hope your neighbours have kids too, so that they are more understanding! 🙂

No, they don’t actually. But the Cushi Tush seat was great to bring when visiting someone who doesn’t have kids. It’s so light and easy to carry, and when she’s seated in it she mostly spills on the tray and not on the floor, so I felt we didn’t make a huge mess at their house at least…

I bet they would not mind even if yo made a mess 🙂 But you’re right, I was also very pleased with such seats when my little ones were…smaller! 🙂
