Finding toys that look good on display

Softly Snail Activity Fun House by Little Bird Told MeI am reclaiming the living room. The playpen had to go yesterday. I was in the mood for cleaning, and it meant redoing Baby Girl’s play area in the living room. The new play area only consists of two toy boxes and some large toys on the floor around them.

One of the toys I’ve lined up on the floor is a snail activity fun house, which she received for free from Little Bird Told Me. This is one of those toys I’m fine having on display, as it is actually nice to look at with soft colours and wooden wheels–for once there’s a baby toy with no dark orange.

The pull-along toy, which costs £25, would have made a lovely baby gift, as it’s not only cute but also has several fun features such as a photo pocket, a mirror and a ‘house’ with a roof that can be opened and a mini caterpillar hiding inside. I’m sure Baby Girl would have liked this toy at the age of six months too, and she’ll probably continue to like dragging the snail around and filling the ‘house’ with other little toys for several months to come although she’s just turned one.

For her age group though, Little Bird Told Me also has some fun infant rockers that would make a cute addition to a nursery. Or perhaps even a living room play area.
