Painting piggy banks at Pottery Café Fulham

The other weekend we ended up making an impulse visit to the Pottery Café in Fulham. We were shopping at the children’s and kitchen shop PoshRosh on Fulham Road, and Baby Girl was not willing to let go of a piggy bank.

Daddy T suggested we just buy it. I suggested we go make one instead.

When Baby Girl realised there was actually an option to go to nearby Pottery Café and paint one, she quickly put the one she’d been holding onto at PoshRosh back and ran out with us.

We didn’t exactly make a saving on the piggy bank by choosing not to buy her the one she’d found, but at least we had a lovely family outing with hot chocolates, cookies and painting.

A week later Baby Girl also had a charming piggy bank to collect and place in her room.

The only downside is that she’s now asking for money even more often than before. Baby Girl’s piggy bank needs my wallet

Pottery Café has a selection of fun pottery shapes to paint, including a sweet penguin bank, a classic piggy bank, a cute dragon bank and more. The piggy bank we chose to paint was £17.50 and the studio fee is £5.99 per person.
