Review: PurFlo Travel SleepSac keeps baby warm on holiday

Plastic toy jet planeWhen we were in Norway this Christmas, I took the PurFlo 2.5 tog Travel SleepSac which I had received as a sample to review after becoming a brand ambassador for PurFlo. I figured it would be ideal to take to Norway, where it was colder than in London, and I had been struggling to keep baby warm at night on previous trips.

In the new SleepSac, Baby Girl was warm enough on every single night. She looked very snug, and as mentioned in previous posts, I like the soft bamboo lining on these products, as it’s naturally antibacterial and absorbs 60% more moisture than cotton.

The Travel SleepSac also has the added benefit of an opening to accommodate the harness on a stroller or car seat, which makes it possible to use this sleeping bag on the go. We ended up not taking Baby Girl anywhere after bedtime this Christmas, but I think this feature is particularly useful for parents with younger babies.

Last Christmas, Baby Girl was 4 months old and we used a sleeping bag with a similar feature. Since she was so little, a sleeping bag with a travel system made it easy to put her to bed at home and then strap her into a car seat in her sleeping bag when we wanted to take part in the family Christmas gatherings.

In terms of the colours on the PurFlo SleepSac, I much prefer the normal SleepSac, which Baby Girl has in white with beige details. The Travel SleepSac is also mainly white, but with orange and green details.

Grandma N still kept repeating that the bright orange giraffe on the Travel SleepSac looked very cute, so perhaps it’s just me–and it’s not really about colours. It’s all about creating a healthy sleep environment for Baby Girl!
