When baby dislikes grass
Grass is not for city babies. At least not my city baby. Baby Girl has visited Grandpa A and Grandma S this week, and she’s been introduced to thick, green grass for the very first time. But it’s not been a success. Grass is not for Baby Girl.
I was expecting her to love stepping barefoot on the grass now that she’s learning to walk. I thought she would like the feel of it, but she appears to hate it and whinges as soon as she steps on the prickly grass.
The only thing grass is good for right now is practising standing on one foot. She’s so determined not to touch it that there’s at least no way she’ll have both feet touching the grass at the same time. I guess we’re not going on a picnic without a big play mat anytime soon.
