3 ways to introduce children to music in London

1. Cbeebies Prom at Royal Albert Hall
As part of BBC Proms 2016, families can bring little ones to Royal Albert Hall for a special Cbeebies Prom, bringing the world of Cbeebies to life with orchestral classics. The one-hour concerts on 28 and 29 August are aimed at children aged 0 to 5 years, and will feature much-loved Cbeebies presenters and characters.

2. Monkey Music Ding-Dong Classes
Many parents want their child to learn a musical instrument, and Monkey Music is a good place to start. The music class provider runs unique classes for babies and young children and the Ding Dong classes for three to four year olds teaches children to read music, and recognise all the instruments of the orchestra, which is a great basis for going on to learn an instrument at school later. This term, Monkey Music in Chelsea and Westminster has new classes for three to four year olds at Cineworld on Tuesday mornings and in Belgravia in the afternoons.

3. Chelsea Quavers Saturday Club
The next step up after Monkey Music is Chelsea Quavers, which runs a Saturday children’s music club in Chelsea for children aged 4 to 12. At Chelsea Quavers, children from aged four and over can learn to read, write, perform and compose music, using the acclaimed Chelsea Quavers music puzzles. In addition to the popular Saturday club and after school clubs at prep schools including Wetherby and Eaton Square School, Chelsea Quavers runs a singing and beatboxing club and a violin club.
