Celebrating Finding Dory with new toys from Disney Store

‘Take Nemo! Take Nemo!’

Four-year-old Big Girl was trying to persuade Baby Boy he needed a soft toy Nemo when we had a rainy day in Cannes on Tuesday and escaped to a local toy shop. She adores the Dory soft toy she received to review the other week, and insisted Baby Boy should pick Nemo when he was offered the chance to choose one toy to buy on holiday.

With Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory having hit cinemas both in the UK and abroad this summer, everywhere we go seem to have a colourful display of the charming Dory and friends and even Baby Boy’s swim nappies have stuck to the Dory and Nemo theme.

Back in London, Disney Store now has a new range of Finding Dory swimwear, figure sets, stationery, mugs, backpacks, puzzles, toys and soft toys, and Big Girl was lucky to receive a Dory medium soft toy (£18.95), a Finding Dory four-pack jigsaw (£6.95) and 3D Dory mug from Disney to review.

She loves soft toys, and although I feel she has many, she continues to surprise me with how she welcomes new soft toys she likes. The large, glittery and silky soft Dory has definitely passed her test, and I even had to agree Dory could come with us for breakfast at St Clements the other day.

At home Big Girl has started asking for hot chocolate again, which I don’t really want us to sit inside and drink in the middle of summer, but I have to agree hot chocolate is the obvious drink to serve in the cute Dory mug with a handle shaped as her tail.

The Finding Dory puzzle is similar in style to other puzzles I’ve bought from Disney Store in the past, and I think it is a good buy at £6.95 since there are four puzzles in the box and character-themed puzzles can be great for getting little ones interested.

For the ultimate Dory fan, I still think the charming soft toy would be my very first choice as I agree with Big Girl:
