Decorating the Christmas tree with charming Disney ornaments

Christmas treeAfter supper yesterday Big Girl placed herself on the floor in front of the bare Christmas tree in our sitting room. She was waiting there for 25 minutes without complaining, having prepared her Tsum Tsum Disney decoration pack on one side and Frozen decoration set with four soft toys on the other.

We had received Disney Christmas ornaments to review, and she couldn’t wait to put them on the tree as soon as Daddy T got home from work.  I’ve never seen anyone more excited about decorating the Christmas tree, and when we were ready to get started she first wanted to ensure the soft toy Anna and Elsa decorations would be together, and that Olaf and Sven were close by. These sweet soft toy Frozen decorations, which come as a pack of 4, (£18.95) were clear favourites, and since they’re lightweight they are easy to put on the tree for little ones.

We had also received a charming Mickey ornament with Disney icons standing in a balloon, and Big Girl agreed that this could be for Baby Boy, as it makes a cute annual collectible and would be a lovely memory from his first Christmas.

Tsum Tsum Christmas tree decorationsAfter giving these the top positions on the tree, Big Girl was ready to move on to the adorable Tsum Tsum decorations (£24.95), which come in a pack of 6. They initially ended up resting on the floor, with Big Girl having placed the heavy resin mini Tsum Tsums on a branch at the bottom of our tree.

I wouldn’t say I’m picky about the look of the Christmas tree, and I just love decorating the tree together as a family, but at this point even I had to suggest we redo the decorating slightly and move the Tsum Tsums to some more suitable positions.

It still shows that our Disney-themed Christmas tree is a family project, and that’s exactly how I want Christmas to be. It’s all about finding ways to get everyone excited about Christmas traditions–and in our case it’s generally easier to get the excitement going if there’s somehow a Disney figure involved!
