Filling a shoe box for Operation Christmas Child
Baby Girl is a very charitable 14-month old. Some weeks back I spent my evenings wondering what to put in the harvest basket Baby Girl was donating to an elderly person. Now, I’m online researching what to put in a shoe box that she’s donating to a child in need.
I hadn’t heard about Operation Christmas Child before yesterday–which is what she’s now supporting–but after reading about it, I’m not really sure how I could have missed it since it sounds like an amazing initiative that I’m excited about getting involved with.
It’s clearly a good thing I have a baby now to keep me up to date with charity work.
After all, it’s not like Daddy T and I have anything better to do on a Friday night than to plan our shoe box decorations and pick out activity books, crayons, toys, hair accessories, and bath products to go inside.
