Little Angel Theatre streams children’s puppet theatre I Want My Hat Back

Islington’s puppet theatre Little Angel Theatre is currently streaming a short adaptation of Jon Klassen’s picture book I Want My Hat Back on the theatre’s YouTube channel following a partnership with theatre director Ian Nicholson.

The production has been created remotely during lockdown, and the finished set designed by Samuel Wilde was posted to Nicholson, who directed and performed it at home to music produced by Jim Whitcher.

I Want My Hat Back tells the story about a mischievous bear who’s lost his hat and politely asks animals he meets if they’ve seen his hat.

Recommended for ages 3 to 6, the short performance went live on Little Angel Theatre’s YouTube channel on Easter Monday, 13 April at 11am BST, and it will be available to watch for free for 14 days.
