5 London family summer deals

1. Mr Adventure promotion at Heathrow
New Mr Men character Mr Adventure was launched at Heathrow this summer, and we’ve loved the Mr Adventure Heathrow restaurant school holiday Kids Eat Free promotions, which we’ve made the most of in Plane Food at Terminal 5 and The Perfectionists’ Cafe in Terminal 2. Until Sunday 4 September Mr Adventure will also be hosting themed activities and workshops, posing for photos and handing out activity booklets, sticker sheets and jelly treats to keep kids entertained in the airport.

2. Kids Eat Free at Sea Containers at Mondrian London
I love Morgans Group hotels Sanderson and St Martin’s Lane, and I’ve been meaning to go to Mondrian London too, the Morgans Group hotel that opened two years ago. The hotel’s restaurant Sea Containers looks super cool and has a lovely terrace this summer. Kids eat free at Sea Containers on weekends from noon to 5pm.

3. Discounted kids tickets on Thamesjet
For an adrenaline-filled jet boat ride with older children, jump on Thamesjet and see some of London’s most iconic sights from the river. Thamesjet offers 50% off kids tickets for children aged 9 to 16 when booked before 7 August for travel by 4 September. Child tickets are then £14 and adult tickets are £39.

4. Unlimited bowling at All Star Lanes
All Star Lanes has launched a kids Alley Cat card for under 12s, which entitles cardholders to unlimited bowling on weekdays between 11am and 3pm until 2 September. The card is only £30, and all venues offers extra-light bowling balls, bumpers and ramps, which are ideal for introducing kids to bowling. All Star Lanes Bayswater is a short walk from Hyde Park.

5. Free activities at London Transport Museum
London Transport Museum in Covent Garden has an awesome play zone for kids, which was refurbished and expanded last year, and the museum offers free entry to children. This summer the museum has an extensive activity programme, including drop-in sessions with storytelling, singing, dancing and more.
