Review: Dr Seuss’ The Grinch arrives on DVD

When friends asked me what film to watch with the children on Sunday, my reply was simply: “The Grinch”.

This became our favourite family film in the run-up to Christmas, and we were excited to review the film again now to celebrate Dr Seuss’ The Grinch being available on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD, from Illumination and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

The film is based on the Dr Seuss book and tells the story about a grumpy – but also cuddly and green–Grinch who despises Christmas and tries to escape it by staying at home during the festive season.

The Grinch and his loyal dog Max lives outside Whoville, a town that truly embraces Christmas and plans to make Christmas even bigger and better this year. When the Grinch is forced to run some errands he ends up witnessing the Christmas spirit in the charming winter town, and he decides he wants to put an end to the festivities and hatches a cruel plan.
Along the way there’s a funny reindeer, some crazy gadgets, a cute girl with a kind heart, an over-sized Christmas tree and a seriously Christmassy house. I’ve now recommended the hilarious film Dr Seuss’ The Grinch to friends without kids too who might have missed it in cinemas.

A must-see for anyone in need of some good laughs.
