Review: Mio Skincare Future Proof Active Body Butter for combating dry skin in winter

The other week I hardly left the house. With Big Girl being off ill I felt completely grounded, and had to run out to buy a latte to keep sane as soon as I had help. While we’d been sitting inside, however, the weather seemed to have changed, and my skin has now started drying up as usual.

The highlight on one of my days inside was that I was at home to accept a delivery of samples from one of my favourite skincare brands Mio Skincare. I first started using Mio Skincare’s Mama Mio range when I was pregnant with Big Girl, and I still use Mama Mio Gorgeous Glow as an everyday cleanser (see review HERE).

My beauty regime has been pretty limited though. I’ve not been great at moisturising despite continuously being reminded to do so by our GP. I always remember if it’s the children who need a moisturiser, but I keep forgetting about myself.

At least until now. I’ve realised I can’t have a moisturiser in the bathroom, as I only seem to have seconds to get ready in the morning, but I’ve now started sitting on the sofa holding on to my Mio Skincare Future Proof Firming Active Body Butter (£35) in the evenings. This works for me.

It smells refreshing and it’s rich and silky at the same time, feeling nourishing to my skin. I apply a bit on hands and arms now and then while I sit curled up with my laptop.

I wonder if maybe I haven’t had the right product to get me excited about moisturising. Future Proof by Mio skincare feels like a treat. And It’s not moving anywhere from the sofa so I can keep future proofing myself and remembering to put my own skin first at times.

Bring on 2016!
