When toddler is the most polite family member

I’ve never before heard ‘thank you’ and ‘please’ being said as often as I have in the last week. It turns out the most polite person I now know is 21-month old Baby Girl.

She’s been saying ‘please’ for a while, clearly picking up on the fact that it’s very difficult to say ‘no’ to a little one who still ‘please’ wants ‘more, more, more’ blueberries after the fourth serving.

More recently, she’s also started saying ‘thank you’, which now appears to be her favourite word. She thanks me for everything – even when she hands me my shoes to get us out of the house more quickly, she’ll say ‘thank you’ for me.

It’s hard to keep up with our terribly polite little family member!
