When baby starts dancing

Baby on BoardSince I had a weekend alone with 11-month old Baby Girl last weekend, I wasn’t expecting to get a chance to go out dancing on Saturday. But Baby Girl keeps surprising me.

The two of us ended up having a girl’s night out. I had put Baby Girl to sleep in her cot, but later decided to move her over to her buggy and walk over to a friend/neighbour, hoping Baby Girl would remain asleep.

But that didn’t really work. As soon as we arrived at my friend’s house, Baby Girl decided there was no way she was going to miss out on our mini excursion. She was suddenly wide awake. The only problem was that we had slightly different expectations for the trip. I just wanted to catch up with a friend, but Baby Girl seemed ready to party in her sleepsuit.

The fact that there was no music on didn’t stop her. Baby Girl got hold of the TV remote control, turned on the snowstorm and showed off her latest trick. Dancing. Her new moves don’t only put a smile on my face–a bit of bouncing seems to make her day too.
